As history would have it, the didgeridoo is perceived as the world's oldest wind instrument. It is estimated to date back thousands of years ago, as it originated as a musical instrument from the North Australian Aborigine. This wind instrument is played traditionally together with clap sticks or clapping two boomerangs together in various ceremonial dances.

I'm not sure, but i believe that you can be taught from a young age but the older in age you get the harder it is. It is probably more beneficial to learn melodic dictation, and you'll never have to spend a cent on sheet music.
